Five Pines Miniature American Shepherds is seeking a guardian home for Rosa, a six-month-old Miniature American Shepherd with a bright future ahead of her.

Rosa is a thoughtful, intelligent young dog who thrives on partnership with her people. At home, she is bold, confident, and assertive, while in new public settings she can be a little more reserved, gaining confidence when she knows she can rely on her human teammate. She loves using her brain, enjoys puzzle-solving and learning new behaviours, and recently completed a fundamentals obedience class.

More than anything, Rosa wants to be involved. She thrives when included in daily life, enjoys working with her people, and is happiest when she has a job to do.

While Rosa has matured oversized and is therefore no longer eligible for conformation showing, we believe she has many qualities that make her a valuable contributor to the long-term preservation and development of the Miniature American Shepherd breed. For that reason, we are seeking a guardian home that will allow her to remain part of our breeding program while enjoying life as a cherished family companion.

Our ideal guardian home:

• Is within a reasonable distance of Trent Lakes, Ontario
• Wants an active, trainable companion
• Enjoys dog sports or is interested in pursuing performance titles
• Is committed to ongoing training, enrichment, and excellent care
• Understands the responsibilities of a guardian-home arrangement

Rosa would be an excellent candidate for obedience, rally obedience, scent work, trick dog, or other performance venues. We would love to see her potential developed through activities that strengthen the bond between dog and handler.

All breeding-related expenses are covered by Five Pines Miniature American Shepherds. Pending successful completion of additional health testing at two years of age, Rosa may be incorporated into our breeding program for a maximum of one litter, after which she will be spayed and full ownership transferred to her guardians. Financial incentives are available to guardian families.
