Mjr Ptd Five Pines Stone Cold Fox

Stone was the standout puppy from the moment he was born. As the pick male from his litter, he has been retained to continue his development in our conformation showing and breeding program, and we are excited about what the future may hold for him.

A six-month-old blue merle male, Stone possesses many of the qualities we strive to preserve in the Miniature American Shepherd. Structurally, he is particularly notable for his beautiful front assembly—an area where quality can be difficult to find within the breed. Combined with a balanced side gait and sound overall construction, he demonstrates the efficient, effortless movement we value in a working companion.

Beyond his physical attributes, Stone is an absolute joy to live with. He has an affable, easy-going personality and an exceptional memory, quickly learning routines and retaining new experiences. He thrives on interaction with both people and other dogs, enthusiastically joining group play sessions and eagerly accompanying us on walks, training outings, and to handling classes.

Stone approaches life with optimism and enthusiasm. While he enjoys learning and showing off his growing skills, he remains very much a happy puppy at heart. His biggest challenge in the conformation ring is remembering that judges are there to evaluate him—not to become his newest best friend. More often than not, he is tempted to dissolve into a wiggly puddle of affection when approached for examination.

Stone is out of AKC Champion Moonbaby’s Vindication by AKC Champion Just Call Me Thumper and is the littermate brother to Five Pines Rose Tattoo. Both parents go back to AKC GCHS Moonbaby’s These Colors Don’t Run, who won Best of Breed at the prestigious Westminster Dog Show in 2018. As Stone continues to mature, we look forward to watching him develop both in and out of the ring and are excited to see what he contributes to the future of our program.

On his debut at the Pine Ridge Kennel Club show on July 7th, he was awarded Best of Winners, Best of Opposite and Best Puppy in Breed earning his first Major. Not bad for his first time in the show ring! Stone may have been the pick puppy for his structure, but it’s his joyful spirit and unwavering belief that every stranger is a potential friend that make him impossible not to love.
